How AI works: the first lesson for kids and teens

In shortKids learn that a chatbot predicts the next word instead of looking things up. Once they see that, they understand why it can be wrong, why it forgets long chats and why they should check its answers.

65€ per 50-minute lesson · about £56 / $75

What they build

  • Their own explanation of how a chatbot writes, in their words
  • A 'trust checklist' for any AI answer
  • A first interactive model they design themselves

A sample lesson

  1. Play the Word Machine and guess before every click

  2. Make the machine invent something and explain why it happened

  3. Write three rules for using AI well

  4. Sketch their own machine for something they love

What you'll see as a parent

A recap after every lesson: what they did, what they built, the homework and how you can help.

Privacy first

Kids never type their full name, school, address or photos of themselves into AI tools.

Parents can join

You are welcome in any lesson: sit in for the first one, join the last ten minutes, or drop in whenever you like. You are also copied on every invitation and recap.

Questions parents ask

Why start with how AI works?

Because kids who understand it use it better. They stop treating it like a search engine and start checking it.

Is it too technical for a 10-year-old?

No. It's a game: press buttons, guess, see what happens. No maths or code.
